SOBER SURF TEAM

Where it all started

"I started the Sober Surfers Beach meetups as a reaction to the COVID shutdown. I knew what isolation would do to my mental state so I jumped into action and started a beach meet up. We ran that monthly meeting for over 2 years out of our own pocket before we started the surf team in 2022. In 2022 we sponsored the surf team as a grass roots effort. I am proud to report that in 2023 we filed and were awarded our 501(c)(3) charity non-profit status by the IRS. "

ESA Central Florida

Eco pro surf series

"The ESA is the largest amateur surfing association in the world. Our family oriented programs promote a healthy and active lifestyle. The Association’s activities are currently organized into 22 districts, which extend along nearly 2,000 miles of coastline stretching from Maine to the Gulf coast of Florida, Alabama and the Great Lakes. Each district’s programs are developed and operated by a dedicated group of volunteer directors and staff. "

"Our goal is to plan, create, host family oriented professional surfing competitions and promote activities related to the beach and surfing while stimulating public interest in all ocean related activities.
The Eco Pro Surf Series will always include recognizing and benefiting local small charities that positively impact our surfing community through either surfing outreach programs and/or beach and ocean conservation."

& More

With a goal to go global, Sober Surfers International has plans to expand surfing and awareness on a larger scale in the future. Stay stoked!
